Three Downward Dogs
Four Different Twists
Any twist. You can do it lying down, you can do it sitting, you can do it standing in lunging warrior or triangle, you can bind. Anything that gets you tangled goes.
**If you are pregnant, do not do twists in ways which your belly is being pressed against your leg. Instead, twist in the opposite direction for low back and hip relief.
For those of you who get flustered with too many options, here’s a formula.
Twist One: Laying Twist. Laying on your back, bring the sole of your left foot to the right thigh and twist to the right. Repeat on other side.
Twist Two: Seated twist. Sit with your left leg extended and your right foot by your left knee. Bring your left arm to your leg and allow the right arm to fall behind your back body. Repeat on the other side.
If that doesn’t count as four…
Twist Three: Forward Fold Twist. Stand in forward fold and bring right hand to the center of your feet. Exhale and twist the left arm up
Twist Four: Wide Angle Twist. Stand in Wide Angle Forward Fold and repeat arms in twist three.
Remember: On every inhale lengthen, on every exhale twist deeper.
